Novel Antiplatelet Activity of Protocatechuic Acid through the Inhibition of High Shear Stress-Induced Platelet Aggregation

Results suggest that protocatechuic acid (PCA), a bioactive phytochemical from Lonicera (honeysuckle) flowers, may be a novel antiplatelet agent that can prevent thrombosis without increasing bleeding risks.
